The Governor's daughter, Jeanine, held her wedding reception at the Cavalier Hotel May 11, 2013, paid for, in part by a $10,000 "gift" from Jonnie Williams, according to people familiar with the situation.

“This is the same hotel "First Citizen" Bruce Thompson has purchased for a mere $35.1 million.  The City will hand him one-third of that price, in cash, up-front, so he can close on his private purchase on July 22nd.
